What documents do I need to drive in Chile?

Ask our Experts

I’ve been looking at your Freedom of the Road self-drive holiday in Chile. Do I need an international driving license to hire a car?

Asked by Lewis

Clients booking our self-drive holidays in Chile must be 25 years old and hold an international driving licence or a European-style photo-card licence. A valid credit card, passport, driving licence & counterpart are required locally by the rental company. You will need an international driving licence (and a permit) if you are driving into Argentina.
