Ballestas Islands and Nazca LinesHannah Waterhouse - Travel Consultant
Our Real Latin America Expert
Hannah Waterhouse - Travel Consultant
Hannah had an early introduction to Latin America when her family moved to Ecuador and she returned to study in Buenos Aires for a year before backpacking across the continent.
Trips to the Ballestas Islands tend to last around two hours, departing in the morning. You can expect to see sea lions, guano birds, pelicans and penguins. Dolphins are also occasionally seen.
For the flight over the Nazca Lines, we organise them from the airstrip in Pisco on 10-seater planes (each seat has a window) and generally advise people to take the flight in the mornings when there is less turbulence and better light.
I hope this is useful, please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss this in more detail.
