Eco Resort Inn
Eco Resort is a renovated colonial townhouse with modern rooms, pool and tropical garden close to the historic centre of Paramaribo.
The eco-conscious hotel is located and within walking distance of the historic centre and close to a district famed for its fashionable restaurants. Formerly a townhouse, the Eco Resort Inn has been renovated while maintaining the authenticity of its Dutch colonial architecture. There's a country-style terrace restaurant serving local dishes and international fare, a bar, and a separate hut in the grounds for breakfast. The leafy tropical grounds host an outdoor swimming pool with decking.
The standard guest rooms are bright and modern, each equipped with air-conditioning, complimentary Wifi, cable TV, fridge, iron, hairdryer, safe and a private bathroom with eco-friendly amenities. Meanwhile the Riverside rooms also feature a balcony with views over the river or the tropical garden. The property is affiliated to a neighbouring hotel, the Torarica, and you'll have access to the latter's facilities including a swimming pool, tennis courts, spa and gym.

Most Memorable Moment?: Difficult to pick out one part. Patagonia Camp was fantastic. However we found the scenery in Argentinian Patagonia stunning.BS, Derby
Probably the best lodge we have ever stayed in. All aspects are absolutely top class. The full-board Discovery Package makes life very easy and the activity options are excellent and clearly explained.CT Crowthorne
Great place full of characterPP, Hope valley
"Excellent food, lovely gardens. Just right for a break in travelling. Tour of vineyard and tasting excellent and informative."FL, Dewsbury
Most Memorable Moment?: So many highlights that it is difficult to pick any one out - but the evening trip to the Turtle beach at Tortuguero, seeing Green Sea Turtles laying eggs and returning to the sea, was quite incredible.DD, Holmfirth
Mexico is a wonderful place for holiday, vibrant and intriguing. We combined visits to historic cities (Mexico City and Cuernavaca) with a beach holiday in Puerto Vallarta. All the arrangements made for us by Journey Latin America worked well.BC, London
A fabulous hotel situated a short walk from the main square. Visually stunning inside and out. I loved the décor of my room and the view from it of the town.TF, Wakefield
Outstanding guide and especially knowledgeable about Guadalope shrine -the subject of his PhD.RG, London
The landscape in Bolivia was more stunning than expected. Uyuni was the highlight.MO, Liverpool
It was a fantastic family for our family and very well-organised. We would definitely recommend you to our friends.SL, London
Hotel Posada Del Hidalgo had a top class restaurant (lobster their specialty!). Member of staff dressed as El Zorro and entered the restaurant and recounted the tale of El Zorro whilst we were dining! A bit corny but he carried it off well! Wished I'd had time to explore El Fuerte and have a swim in the hotel pool. SW NorwichSW Norwich
What a magical place! Just as billed, this is a slightly more remote alternative that places you right in the middle of the rain forest. Natural stone and volcanic sand adds to the authenticity.RB, Maidenhead
“Cristalino Jungle Lodge was outstanding. The ethos of care for both the forest and the guests could not have been improved. This was the highlight of our trip. The guide there was utterly amazing with a fund of knowledge of all wildlife, as well as full of courtesy and attention to our requirements, so as to be sure we saw everything possible on every trip out. As he only spoke Portuguese, the Lodge arranged for a full time interpreter, who was also extremely knowledgeable of the birds and all aspects of the forest."TO, Norwich
2 nights was too short (our choice!) The free activities available at this hotel are definitely an added bonus.LM, Fordingbridge
Machu Picchu was the most memorable part of the trip. The rain forest was fun. We loved the Andean Express train journey too.MdlATS, London
Max went out of his way to ensure we had full info on what we could do in each location and followed up in detail on ones individuals were interested in. Thus meeting the different needs of group members. This was particularly helpful with so short a time in each place. He was also good at telling us about the history and political situation in each country and sharing his enthusiasm for the region.JD, London
“Tortuga Lodge was excellent; the best food during the entire trip, excellent service, excellent guide, excellent atmosphere, excellent accommodation. We should have stayed longer."DF, Ledbury
"Ometepe Island. I had never even heard of it before this trip - it was out of this world!"Ab, Chesterfield
Fantastic guide, pleasant, full of history and local knowledge.HH, London
"Liz was just great - well organised, friendly - joining us for many meals or advising on good places to eat. Our optional excursions all went as planned and we enjoyed them all."AT, London
“Casa Andina Private Collection on Suasi Island was fantastic – fab bed, views, wood-burning stoves in rooms, and barbeque lunches in garden and wonderful meals in dining room. Lovely people too!”PC, Ealing

Amazing setting. Superb accommodation.JK Sheffield
"Posada San Antonio was a simple cosy hotel. Bed had the most comfortable mattress ever and helpful staff."JB, Northwood
The whole holiday was memorable but Patagonia Camp and the walk to the Torres del Paine was the best. Absolutely breath taking. We wished we had stayed one more night here.CB, Tonbridge
“Please promote Titilaka - there aren’t enough people there for it to be viable and it is OUTSTANDING.”CS, Richmond
