Smart and comfortable new eco lodge comprising well-appointed cabins of polished wood, on the banks of the Manú river in an area of remarkable biodiversity.

To cater for new visitors, the smart and very comfortable Romero Rainforest Lodge has been built by the rainforest research and preservation foundation CREES. On the banks of Manú river, surrounded by primary rainforest, are eight polished wooden cabins, all finished and furnished to the highest quality. Hot showers, en suite bathrooms and spacious dining and relaxation areas are available to guests.

The location is perfect for exploring the nearby oxbow lakes, home to giant river otters and black caiman, not to mention hundreds of endemic bird species. Romero is just a one-hour boat trip from Boca Manú airport.

Manú is one of the most biodiverse rainforest areas on the planet, and guests can observe wildlife all around the lodge buildings and trails. Monkeys, hummingbirds, macaws and opossums are frequently sighted among a myriad of other exotic tropical creatures. Nature lovers will also be entranced by the exuberance of the plant life.
