Simple jungle lodge in a spectacular setting, offering a flexible and varied programme of excursions.
The simple Eco Amazonia lodge in the Tambopata region consists of 45 individual bungalows, each with a balcony and hammocks. All rooms have en suite cold water shower and toilet; lighting is by kerosene lamp.
The lodge is particularly flexible about the excursions it offers, and will suggest options suited to the capabilities and preferences of each guest.
The surrounding jungle is very impressive, the highlight being the nearby Cocha Perdida lagoon, reached by a 6.5km trail through the rainforest. There's also an observation platform an hour's walk away which allows you to peer into the treetops and see the birds and monkeys that shelter there.

A fantastic travel company for Peru. Highly respected locally. The whole Itinerary was flawless with extremely professional local reps in Peru. I believe the Inca trail company in Cusco to be the best there!JD, Swansea

Highlight?: The train journey to M Picchu and seeing M Picchu - absolutely awesome and I got a seat on the left of the train (for best views!). The tour of the Salt Flats and journey to San Pedro were stunning too. Really good tour guide during this part. Hannah at JLA was a great help before and during the holiday. She made it possible to visit on the desired dates (e.g. so I could go on a star gazing tour in San Pedro during a change in mood cycle). Always replied promptly to my emails. Especially appreciated little extras - e.g. being on the left of the train to M. Picchu for the best views, being allocated window seats on planes, etc. All this meant I could really enjoy the scenary. Stand out hotels were in Urubamba, M. Picchu, and Uyuni - all exceeding my expectations. I didn't realise so many lunches / dinners were included which was a great bonus.MP, Amersham
Highlights?: Both the Inca Trail and Puerto MaldonadoCR, Morden
The Peru holiday was all very well constructed. Favourite parts were the floating islands, the nocturnal canoe trip and the trek to Macchu Picchu. Organisation was brilliant and it all hung together very well. Thanks!AMW, Letchworth
