Resembling an upmarket Peruvian country house, the hacienda-style buildings which comprise the elegant Hotel Vinas Queirolo are set within a bucolic landscape of vines sweeping out towards the mountainous horizon – a fertile rural scene that is in stark contrast to the desert dunes of nearby Ica.
Inside, the décor is stylish and tasteful, with wooden features and subtle rustic touches highlighted against the white walls. Guestrooms are large, comfortable and characterised by soft, neutral tones. The outdoor areas are equally charming and include a tiny chapel, gardens and lawns lined with traditional pottery canisters, and an inviting swimming pool with a wooden sundeck.
The restaurant serves well-presented local cuisine with views out over the vineyard, and guests can also enjoy a free wine tasting and a tour of the winery and grounds.
