Situated on a soft sandy beach facing the Pacific Ocean and catching the coppery rays of the sun as it sets beyond the horizon, Aranwa Vichayito Bungalows and Carpas is a relaxing family-friendly but also romantic beach resort (weddings are hosted here occasionally). It is a just a short drive to the lively little resort of Mancora but far enough away to be isolated from any potential boisterousness.
An unusual property, it offers nine thatched cottages and a further 26 Bedouin-style tents. But this isn’t roughing-it style camping: the spacious, the lofty tents are fully furnished, almost luxurious affairs with bathroom, minibar and air-conditioning. The cottages are also provided with a small kitchenette; an attractive option for families.
There’s an innovative restaurant and a decent-sized pool with sun loungers. Various activities are organised - so that you can observe wildlife such as turtles at play or go horse-riding on the beach - and a spa offering massages.
