A classically romantic vision of over-water bungalows strung across turquoise waters, Coral Lodge is an ideal escape for couples and honeymooners. It enjoys a truly idyllic setting looking out over the Caribbean, backed by verdant rainforest, with a thriving reef for snorkelers to explore beneath the gentle waves.
While offering creature comforts, the small resort has a comprehensive eco-policy aiming to keep environmental impact to a minimum. There are just six octagonal, Balinese-style bungalows connected to the shore and to each other by a boardwalk, each with a sitting room, Jacuzzi tub and private terrace. Rattan and teak are key design accents.
The restaurant's food reflects a mixture of influences – local Kuna, Caribbean, Latin American and Asian – with an emphasis on fresh seafood. The main building accommodates a reading lounge, crafts shop, bar and restaurant. There is also an outdoor swimming pool set alongside the sweeping curve of the beach.
The lodge offers a variety of optional excursions: kayaking, wildlife and diving tours are all available at extra cost.
