Rustic, atmospheric lodge beside a pristine white-sand beach, providing a chic base for immersing yourself in a lush and unspoilt landscape.

Offering rustic luxury in an untouched tropical setting, Morgan’s Rock is designed to blend into the natural surroundings – so much so that trees grow through some of the roofs. The smart, atmospheric rooms, decorated in earthy shades, are bound on three sides by screens, so you can delight in the forest symphony put on by howler monkeys and a wealth of exotic birds.

In a country still new to tourism, this unassuming yet chic eco-lodge is just the place to immerse yourself in the lush tropical landscape of Nicaragua’s unspoilt coastline. The 15 thatched, hardwood cabins cascade down a forested hillside towards a pearl-white beach untroubled by development of any kind.

This is no ordinary resort – it is part of a working farm, and they are keen for you to experience their activities – you can milk a cow, collect eggs or inspect the fruit tree reforestation projects. Biking, horse-riding and kayaking can also be arranged by the friendly and helpful staff.

If visiting between August and November, don't miss the chance to watch turtles hatching on the beach by the light of the moon.

What our clients say

97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.

Just our sort of place!!

“Morgan's Rock: Idyllic. Just our sort of place. It helped that there were only 3 or 4 other rooms occupied but it was delightful and quirky. Other guests (return visitors we noted) told us that #3 was a great cabin (best views) but the worst for noise. We would both go back and have already recommended it to friends. The staff were all charming and smiley. In fact we thought the Nicaraguans were livelier and more anxious to please than the somewhat smug/reserved Costa Ricans.”
