Hacienda Ticum is a faithfully and fabulously refurbished hacienda from the Spanish colonial era on Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.

This remodelled early 19th century hacienda is a charming, atmospheric property drenched in tropical foliage, a short drive from the city of Mérida. It exudes references to its prestigious colonial history and is set in parkland, with just ten guest rooms.

Choose between four whitewashed  thatched Mayan cottages, flanking a large outdoor swimming pool (one of two),  and deluxe rooms and suites, all with private terrace. Each of the huge rooms is romantically appointed with king sized bed, polished flooring, distressed vintage wooden and wrought iron furniture.

Vibrant Mexican golds and russets are greatly in evidence in the cosy décor while at the same time the high ceilings and al fresco public areas create a feeling of cool luxury. The property has its own restaurant.
