What our clients say
97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.
"Many highlights: The views at Uxmal. Waking up with a view of the observatory at Chichen Itza from our hotel bed. The excellent guides. The friendliness of the staff (and impromptu language lessons) at Petit Lafitte."TR, Farnham
Highlight?: Calakmul, its a long journey to get there ( 2 hours from Xpujil alone ) so plenty of anticipation, not busy and complete freedom to walk around as opposed to other sites. Did actually see some monkeys in the trees too.DB, Teddington
I loved the mexico city walking tour - really felt part of the city. Great restaurant recommendations too! Also loved everything about San cristobel!MK, London
Most memorable experiences: "Visiting our parents' house in Lomas de Chapultepec. Francisco persuaded the owners that we were genuine, which was quite an achievement. In sightseeing terms it is difficult to compare, for instance, the domestic and artistic life of Frieda Kahlo with the pyramids of Teotihuacan! We chose to go to all the places on our itinerary and all of them were memorable. Perhaps Monte Alban was the most mind blowing because I had no particular expectations of it, unlike Chichen Itza of which I had seen many pictures."HG, Sherborne
My sister summed it up by saying that there was nothing that she would have changed, the holiday was perfect. Mexico was a delight, we had never been before, the people sincerely friendly and helpful, the service as great but everything exceeded expectations. My sister and the children thought that the cenotes were amazing as they were such a surprise but we loved it all.RN, Ascot
Most memorable experience? “It's impossible to pick any individual aspect; but a number of experiences stood out: the visit to the "voodoo" church at St Juan Chamula (extraordinary and unexpected), the visit to the shrine of the Madonna of Guadalupe on the way to Teotihuacan in Mexico City (similar, and helped understand Mexican history), Palenque (the most beautiful and atmospheric of the pre-hispanic sites), and swimming in the three cenotes at Cuzama near Merida, which we arranged ourselves.AR, Gospel Oak
The train from El Fuerte to Divisidero was great - good views with the ability to take photographs through open windows, good food, comfortable seats.JDL, St Neots
Highlights?: Hacienda Ticum and UxmalJS, Nantwich

As a first time traveler to Central America, I can't stress enough how pleasurable Journey Latin America made Mexico for us. We feel as if we have a million magical memories that will last forever - sunsets over the Caribbean sea, ruins in the midst of the jungles, seas of pink flamingos, crocodiles nestling on the banks of the Canyon Del Sumida. We were nervous as non Spanish speakers but we felt so supported without that horrible feeling of being over organized. Thank you againLH, Pinner
It is very difficult as pretty well everything was memorable, but if I have to pick something, then the boat trip along the river to Yaxchilan takes some beating. Weather, scenery, wildlife, excitement of a fast boat, and the archaeological surprises at the end ….RB, Eastleigh
"The tours provided were everything that we hoped, with the tour guides very good."GS, Rayleigh
Most Memorable Moment?: Hard to say as we enjoyed every part of our trip. We loved the mixture of ancient sites and other attractions so we did not feel overwhelmed by one type of attraction.DS, Paisley
Specific memorable event: Having climbed up the large pyramid at the Mayan site, within the Calakmul biospere, not only did we love the impressive view across the tree canopy, but we were greeted by the amazing sound of 3 groups of howler monkeys calling to each other across the tree tops. The birdlife there was also wondeful to see. Overall memorable part: the Mexican people - genuinely friendly, helpful and patient.LG, St Albans
Highlights?: Too many! Probably seeing Uxmal, the Tiger Egret, swimming in Cenotes (various), Chichen-Itza at dawn and visiting Frida Kahlo's house.AA, Newport
Visiting the Mayan villages outside San Christobal de las Casas.CM, Kingston upon thames
All of the tour guide experiences were memorable and we loved Mexico city. There was so much to see and do in such a short week. I would love to do it again, but over a two week period and over the winter months.JR, Castle Douglas
Highlight of your Trip?: Climbing the Pyramid of the sun, Punting at Xochimilco was wonderful.AHC, Blaydon-on-tyne
Highlights?: Tours of Mexico City & Chichen Itza, followed by our stay at Tulum.ER, Surbiton
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the holiday but were particularly impressed with the accommodation at the Hacienda VIP and the excursion to Uxmal and Kabah.SS, Liverpool
Visiting UxmalDS, Ware
We had a lovely day at the waterfalls and coffee plantation when in Huatulco. We also did a tour of the bays which included snorkelling which was very enjoyable. We enjoyed the variety of culture mixed with the beach. All places visited made their mark. Mexico City very busy but worth seeing, Puebla lovely city with traditional crafts and culture. Oaxaca - town great place with lots of activity and music and Huatulco - enjoyed the local town La Crucecita for eating out.PT, Arundel
Highlights?: Probably seeing the Diego Rivera murals in Mexico City although it is hard to pick out as there were so many moments that we loved. A boat trip on the lake of Bacalar was also amazing.JT, Thames ditton
We enjoyed every aspect of the trip. The Sumidero Canyon possibly stands out as the most memorable part. Spectacular.AP, Canterbury
All of it was good. The actual order of places I visited also coincided with the progression of history, from ancient to more recent. Very well arranged indeed.DB, Birmingham
Mexico is such an interesting country, very diverse. I recommend to read a good guide that could give an overview of the history of Mexico and don't miss the Museum of Anttopology if it is intended to visit the arqueological sites. For those interested in the political history of Mexico, it is a must to see 'the muralistas' e.g Diego Rivera, Siquieros, Tamayo and OroscoCL, Harpenden
Most memorable experiences: "The Archeological sites, the friendly guides and amazing beach in Tulum."LS, Ruislip
Our experience of travel in Mexico with Journey Latin America has been excellentSB Harrow
Most memorable aspect: “The view from Monte Alban across Oaxaca and the valleys around. Eating in Cafe Tacuba in Mexico City with a troop of troubadours playing would come a close second, followed by the flight to Huatulco when we flew all along the coast before landing, courtesy of a local businessman who was playing host to an American novelist. Xochimilco was also memorable and fun.JB, Dublin
