Mahekal Beach Resort
Beachfront resort of thatched cabañas interspersed amongst palm trees. A particularly good choice for families.
Not far from Playa del Carmen, this family-friendly beachfront resort is conveniently placed but maintains a calmer ambience and more traditional style than its equivalents in nearby Cancun. While maintaining a distance from the bright lights and bustle, Mahekal Beach Resort is close enough to town to stroll down along the sugar-white sandy beach any time you fancy making use of playa's facilities.
Facing out towards the gem-bright blue and green tones of the Caribbean sea, the hotel is composed of thatched cabañas interspersed amongst the swaying palms. Rooms have cooling tiled floors, stylish wooden furnishings and accents of vivid Mexican colour.
A huge thatched roof sits over the open-sided restaurant, which is supported on stilts. Directly beneath the restaurant is a sizable swimming pool. There are extensive gardens and overall a very agreeable atmosphere.
What our clients say
97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.
It is a very attractive resort. Again the rooms are very basic but the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The pools and facilities are all excellent, as is the quality and variety of food in the restaurants.SS, Liverpool
