Las Nubes offers white-washed thatched cottages in palm-dotted grounds right on the beach on Isla Holbox.

Las Nubes is a smart laid-back hotel on the vehicle-free, relax-zone which is the island of Holbox just off the north coast of the Yucatán peninsula.  There are thatched cottages where wooden floors and beams lend a homely feel to the minimalist design. With simple suites and cottages, all bright and spacious, it is one of few Holbox properties which sit right on the beach with stretches of soft white sand on either side.

Rooms have either a terrace or a balcony where you can relax and enjoy the warm sea breezes. No cars are allowed on the island but you can get around in a golf cart. The property has a sophisticated restaurant - you can dine romantically at an exclusive table on the beach if you wish - a Mayan-style spa and three swimming pools. Water-sports equipment is available: kite-surfing is popular off the shore here.  AS you might expect from such a romantic property, Las Nubes hosts occasional weddings.
