The combo of Guatemala Highlands and Honduras/Livingston offered the experience of a variety of settings and cultures. I must say that Antigua and Atitlan were stunning!CV NYC, USA
Highlights “With the exception of Coban which has very little to offer, everyday offered a new, memorable and in many cases totally unexpected experience. We were so fortunate to see the Easter preparations and parades, never thought I would see the like and Tikal was quite stunning. We had no expectation of Livingstone and the journey there and we were simply bowled over by how fantastic it was, that basically is how we felt about the whole trip.”DA, Waterloo
Everything about Guatemala was a highlight, particularly the market at Chichicastenango and lake Atitlan.HN, Brentwood

Most memorable experience: “Talking to the people we met, especially the guides, and learning a little about their experiences and culture; Mayan sites and wildlife.AMM, Herne Hill
We had the most wonderful trip. All arrangements went to plan and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing a part of the world we hadn't visited before. As well as gaining a real flavour of Central America and the Mayan culture we kayaked, canoed, fished, snorkelled, swam with sharks, cycled, visited Mayan ruins, villages and the market at Chiticastananga. Throughout the trip we experienced excellence in service with everyone we encountered. We loved the variety of it all and yet we also had time each day to relax and read.LM, Reading

Loved all of it!!
We loved all of it for different reasons, what made the trip exceptional though was the ease of travelling facilitated by the local representatives.GW, Chinnor
Guatemala is just a lovely country coming to terms with tourism. However the hotels (except the quality in Coban) were beautifully maintained and in wonderful locations. The sites we visited were wonderful and the stay at Chiminos Lodge was an experience of a lifetime.P
Tour of Tikal was much appreciated. Guide was knowledgeable and it would have been difficult to learn as much on our ownNW, Wells
Highlight?: San Juan - interesting to learn all about preparing textiles and weaving and great to be able to buy the goods and support the community at the same time. Tikal - amazing. Snorkelling from a flat-bottomed boat at Ambergris Caye.TH, Loughborough
Highlight?: Visiting some of the villages around Antigua and meeting several local people either in their homes or at their place of work.AW, London
Highlight: It is difficult to pick one thing. We loved the feel of Antigua and will consider going back there to spend more time. We also loved travelling through the Guatemalan highlands, visiting the local markets, walking through the colourful graveyards with locals performing ancient rituals and generally experiencing a sense of what life is like for a modern day Mayan. On one particular day, when visiting the markets at Almolonga and Zunil, we witnessed an eruption of Volcan Santaguito.DE, Wilmslow
Highlights: So much to choose from! But the highlight was Tikal, where my daughter finally got to see the Chewing-Gum Tree, spider and howler monkeys, toucans, leaf-cutter ants, even a rare bird the Tody motmot, not to mention astounding Mayan temples...CL, Cambridge
