The friendly and welcoming family-run Hotel Pimampiro is about 10 minutes’ walk from the port of Baquerizo Moreno on San Cristóbal island. It's a peaceful location but the facilities of the small settlement are not far away.
The gated property offers bright and cheerful, if fairly basic accommodation within a group of whitewashed bungalows that overlooks a small but attractive pool with loungers. Hammocks line the sunny verandas. There's a hearty breakfast, served communally around a long table, and guests are also able to use the kitchen or borrow the hotel's bikes.
San Cristóbal island is the fifth largest and second most populated of the Galápagos archipelago. The northeast is dominated by arid lava flows while the hilly southwest is carpeted in vegetation and farmland.
