The Galapagos Sea Star journey (formerly Grand Odyssey) is one of the newer additions to our portfolio of small luxury motor yachts cruising the Galápagos archipelago. Its designers have foresworn the sailor-blue décor of similar vessels to come up with a yacht defined by sleek lines and light, fresh spaces. They've also steered clear of an overly hotel-like feel: contemporary blond wood and chrome furniture, offset by subtle cream and soft brown fabrics, simply create a spacious, uncluttered ambience.
There are eight cabins, composed of twin and matrimonial suites and a larger Odyssey suite perfect for those celebrating special occasions. There are also connecting cabins for families. Each has wall-to wall windows, bathroom and adjustable air-conditioning.
The dining room is informal but smart in a rather cool, business-like way, and replete with glossy surfaces, while the salon offers comfy armchairs and a mini library, plus a play area for children on family departures. The part-shaded sun deck houses two Jacuzzis and sun loungers to relax in. Snorkelling and kayaking equipment is available at no extra charge and there is also the unusual addition of a glass-bottomed Zodiac.
