Unique, good value Galápagos cruise vessel offering the convenience of a motor boat combined with the tradition and character of sails, resulting in a cosy nautical ambience.

The small motorised Cachalote sailboat offers guests a true seaborne experience, and will delight those who prefer economical accommodation and to feel close to the ocean. She carries just 16 passengers in eight compact cabins with bunk beds which nevertheless have private facilities, air-conditioning and a porthole each. Meals are taken at communal tables in the simple dining room and there is a small saloon. The use of polished teak wood décor throughout adds to the cosy nautical ambience. There is a crew of seven, including a cook and an English-speaking guide.

What our clients say

97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.

One of the best guides I've had

"Juan Tapia was one of the best guides I have ever had. He was knowledgeable, informed, educated and generally brilliant. The Cachalote staff were super friendly and what the boat lacked in luxury they made up for in warmth, fun and general greatness.”
