Nestled on the slopes of the Ilaló Volcano just outside Quito, Ilatoa Lodge offers a comfortable stay in a picture perfect setting.

Whilst Quito has no shortage of hotels within the city centre sometimes it is nice to escape the hustle and bustle to enjoy the more serene outskirts. Ilatoa Lodge has the perfect setting, nestled on the slopes of the (extinct) Ilaló Volcano with expansive views of Quito in the valley below.

With only 6 comfortable and airy bedrooms each with huge picture windows and local artwork you’ll find a personalised and friendly service during your stay. There is a restaurant offering local dishes, a wonderful garden to explore and maybe spot a hummingbird or two, there’s even a wine cellar if you want to indulge.

The location allows you easy access to the centre of Quito to explore the historic old city with its cobbled streets and colonial churches. You can also hike to the crater of the Ilaló Volcano directly from the hotel. The excellent location also means you can visit the amazing sights around Quito from the cloud forest in the north to Cotopaxi volcano to the south.

This hotel is a lovely option for staying outside of the bustling city yet still within an easy driving distance of everything the area has to offer
