El Crater Hotel
Contemporary hotel in an extraordinary setting, offering volcano views from all of its spacious rooms.
With its striking modernist exterior, the contemporary El Crater Hotel makes the most of its tranquil countryside setting facing Pululahua Volcano, less than an hour's drive from the bustle of Quito.
There are just a dozen spacious and stylish guestrooms, each with its own living area in addition to a good selection of hotel facilities. The design and layout takes full advantage of the views with large picture windows and beds facing the volcano.
The hotel has its own art gallery featuring the work of local artists, as well as a well-regarded restaurant. Aromatherapy and en suite massages can be arranged, and the area is a great base for hiking.
What our clients say
97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.
“El Crater was a sharp contrast with the Galápagos: cool climate and few fellow guests. However a very helpful waiter and warm welcome from the owner, a fellow vegetarian, who believed that the view and vegetarianism led to a long and healthy life!”JH, Chester
