Mansion Alcazar

Our Ratings

Mansion Alcazar

Peaceful and refined boutique hotel in a restored colonial mansion, bedecked with period furnishings, chandeliers and tapestries.

The peaceful colonial Mansion Alcazar is located a few blocks from Cuenca's main square. The building's architectural details have been retained and restored, and the period furnishings, chandeliers and tapestries help show them off to great effect.

There are just 16 rooms and suites individually furnished in a classical style; some have four-poster beds. Rich reds and brown add warmth and texture.

There is a bar and lounge set around a central fountain with a reading room and a garden to the rear, and a formal dining room where gourmet meals are served. Hotel facilities include a champagne lounge (high tea also served), library and garden. Clients praise the friendly and well-informed staff who make for a sociable stay.
