Hotel Casa Granda
Hotel Casa Granda is an imposing, classic property dominating the main square of Santiago de Cuba.
This classic hotel makes much of its history, and justly so - constructed in 1914, the property has attracted some illustrious guests in its heyday including movie stars, jazz singers, author Graham Greene (who wrote the classic novel Our Man in Havana) and baseball great Babe Ruth. It’s an imposing building, inspired by the colonial edifices of the Spanish era with graceful arches and shady terraces.
The guest rooms are located on five floors, some with views of the main square on which it has pride of place. A great location as a base for explorations, it sits in the very heart of an exuberant and musical city.
Other facilities include a large airy restaurant and a wonderful rooftop garden with cocktail bar and good views over the city and the sea.
