OUR GUIDE TO the weather in the Nicoya Peninsula
The sparkling bays and tranquil beach resorts of the Nicoya peninsula spread along the northern Pacific coast, separated from the rest of the country by the Gulf of Nicoya and the arid Guanacaste province. For maximum sunshine and next to no rain, head to the region from December to April. The small Leatherback Turtle population at Las Baulas Marine National Park nest from October to mid-February. Migrating humpback whales can be spotted from August – November.
