Set along the beautiful Rincon de la Sierra National Park, this working farm still has some of the original buildings incorporated into the area of the hotel, which is a lovely mix of historic and rustic with contemporary touches.
Set alongside the beautiful Rincon de la Sierra National Park, the low-rise hacienda is a working farm established as long ago as 1880, open its doors to guests in 1985. In fact, some of the original ranch buildings are incorporated into the area of the hotel, which is a lovely mix of historic and rustic with contemporary touches. Wooden columns and beams, potted patio plants, stone tiles and an open air restaurant create a really rural atmosphere. The guest rooms are also in keeping with the ranch style, and feature authentic hand-crafted Costa Rican wooden furniture in the Guanacaste hacienda style. In keeping with the commitment to sustainable tourism, solar-powered heaters on the roofs deliver hot water on demand to modern equipped bathrooms. Wide verandas with hammocks and seats allow guests to mingle.
A wide range of classic Costa Rican outdoor activities can be undertaken from the lodge, including horse riding, mountain biking, zip-lining and water rafting. There is also a choice of slower-paced nature tours, including a visit to the butterfly farm.

Commitment to Eco-Tourism and Respect for local people evident throughoutMD, Southam
We had a really exceptional trip. The mix of beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife made it a real adventure and yet the logistics made it achievable and stress free. Costa Rica has beaches, wildlife and lots of outdoor fun (zip lines, rafting, and ATV trails for example) which make it ideal for a holiday which met the desires of all the family.GP, Warwick
Costa Rica is too beautiful to miss!PC, Moreton-in-Marsh
So hard to pick out an individually memorable part. If pushed then we would have to select the two river wildlife trips (Tortuguero and Cano Negro) and overall the friendly nature of everyone that we had dealings with. Also having the wildlife right on our doorstep at each accommodation was very special.SY, Solihull
Turtle watching tour, zip wiring and white water rafting. Also enjoyed seeing all the wildlife living in its natural habitat.IH, Ipswich
