What our clients say

Boat ride through the canyon (just what we needed to blow the cobwebs away after an early start and a long journey). Palenque took my breath away - literally, I climbed to the top of the pyramid! The trip to the two indigenous villages was extremely fascinating.
It is difficult to identify a highlight as the whole trip was so varied and memorable. However, the yurt and the landscapes in Torres del Paine and Iguazu were spectacular.VP, Haywards Heath
All archaeological sites were very good especially when accompanied by informed guides. Landscape superb in the Highlands.
All credit to JLA for going beyond the usual tourist venues in Peru and exploring a lesser known but beautiful area with many compensations for the very basic infrastructure.JF, Cambridge
As always, JLA provides very experienced guides and this ensures the success of the trip. They are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to ensure clients get a great experience.VH, Australia
We have toured the USA, Europe and China before but the experience we had with JLA was the by far and away the best we've ever had!PD, Stockport
Lots of things, but, the statue of Christ the redeemer, iguazu falls, the tango dinner show, BOLIVIA, The group leader is a major part of the trip. A person who can bring a group of strangers together and make them join in, is worth their weight in gold?MD, Hawick
Cartagena - perfect mix of history, culture, nightlife and beach lazing. Colombian people very friendly and genuinely seemed delighted that we visited their country.NG, Leyland
Difficult to say as it was a trip of contrasts - two cities and some beautiful landscapes. I achieved two ambitions which was to visit the Torres del Paine National Park and to see the Perito Moreno glacier. Torres del Paine was glorious and Perito Moreno was breathtaking. All internal transfers were seamless and check in and check out of hotels were easy. The small group made the holiday feel almost personalised.TW, Hook
We have travelled with JLA on several occasions throughout South America. JLA may not be the cheapest tour operator, but booking with JLA means peace of mind, expert and helpful advice, reliable pick ups and travel arrangements and expert and informative tour leaders and local guides. A holiday should be free of worry and JLA take care of everything!CR, Bath
Quite simply, this was the best holiday we ever had. The tour leaders role in achieving this cannot be overstated.SW, Great Missenden
Ever since hearing of Tierra del Fuego when I was a child of 8, I have longed to visit. The 'Land of Fire' sounded so magical. Now at 74, I have achieved a lifelong ambition and have had a holiday of a lifetime having visited the'End of the Earth' in a catamaran whilst travelling eastwards in the Beagle Channel to view the penguins and other wild life. Everyone in Chile, Argentina and during my brief visit to Brazil were very friendly and accommodating. The local transport provided was fine and allowed us to view the local scenery at close hand with adequate stops...All in all a brilliant holiday. Thank you.RH, Macclesfield
It is hard to choose one particular part of the trip as it was all amazing but in different ways. One of the most memorable parts was the few days in Suchitoto, El Salvador and the optional town tour. Listening to the experiences of the people in the area was humbling.MF, London
The beauty of nature, particularly the Torres glowing at sunrise and the vastness of the Perito Moreno glacier. The views from the planes were also fantastic!TW, York
It was, in short, an unqualified success in all important ways. The local guides set a remarkably high standard in being knowledgeable, articulate and generally helpful, two or three of them outstandingly so. None of the hotels was less than comfortable and/or notable for its outlook and general amenities; those in Nicaragua and El Salvador were probably the best, while the Guatemalan and Belizean accommodation was betrayed only at times, mainly by the food it served. We took away an enormous variety of impressions, ranging from the sense of insecurity and awe created by all those volcanoes; through the surprise at the comparative sophistication and well-being superficially apparent in El Salvador and the interest in seeing potters, weavers, farmers and conservationists at work; to the ultimate satisfaction experienced through that artful blend of the natural with the man-made worlds characterising the Mayan sites of Guatemala and Honduras, most notably at Copán and Tikal which were the obvious highlights of the tour.TD, Oxford
Seeing Machu Picchu for the first time, it was breath taking! and enjoying the company of a good set of fellow travellers.IE, Coventry
JLA provided great planning from the start to the end, took all the hassle out of booking flights, bus, train and mini bus travel. Included excursions were excellent and well thought out, with a great tour leader.
Most memorable experience/aspect of your trip? "There are several - riding in different types of transportation i.e. coco cabs, bike taxi, American Chevy etc. The plantation walk in Vinales, meals arranged by the tour leader in paradors and the knowledge of the local guides."MR, Broxbourne
The Central American trip was excellent - really interesting to see the contrast in the countries. Could have spent longer in each country, but then that would have made the trip much longer!PG, Winchester
It was a wonderful trip. It was all good. In saying what I say next that is not to denigrate anything else. However, here we were at the vineyards outside Mendoza. It is a beautiful day weather-wise. We have had a fine tour of the vineyard and winery. The vineyard is itself beautiful and peaceful. Now we are in a lovely modern building for the 'lecture' and tastings. I am feeling very happy. Can it get any better? Yes. I look beyond the lecturer out of the window and there I see the beauty of the vineyard and 'just' behind that of the high Andes. Breathtaking!IM, London
I have been travelling for over half a century but his was my first organised tour and it was wonderful. As I said on my return I would go again next week if my diary was not full, I needed a rest and was not minded to spend as much again so soon.
Thank you for giving me an amazing trip, with a wonderful leader and a lovely group of people to travel with.BK, London
Where do we start? 25 condors at Colca Canyon, vicuna, llama and alpaca at every turn, fabulous weather, the surprising majesty of the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and the amazing Iguassu Falls in full flow after heavy rain in the interior. 6 equally wonderful experiences.MR, St Albans
A very well organised and fascinating holiday. An excellent tour leader who helped make the experience very special. Thank you all for all your efforts on our behalf.
This was a trip to remember. I have a brilliant overview of this enormous country. And was pleased to visit it before tourism takes a hold. Our brilliant tour leader made the trip distinctive and accessed areas and people for us that would have been impossible on our own.RP, Matlock
The brilliant weather from start to finish. Blue sky and sunshine at Moreno glacier, and of course the various animals. Truly lovely group of people and the tour leader was excellent.JM, Minehead
"This holiday far exceeded our expectations and was truly a once in a lifetime experience!"CD, Plymouth
I could not fault the restaurants recommended by Sally, our tour leader. The Central Market in Santiago, Restaurant Bota Salvavidas in Valparaiso, Broccolinos in Punta Arenas, La Tablita in El Calafate (Patagonian Lamb to die for!), La Casa de Mariscos in Ushsuaia for excellent crab and the eclectic Ramos Generales and in Buenos Aires, El Establo – an excellent parilla.RP, Buckinghamshire
A wonderful, memorable trip - so happy we chose JLA and the Condor tour - thanks to all the team, and to the tour leader especially. The itinerary was really well thought out and the Bolivia part was an unexpected bonus! This was my first ever visit to Latin America, and our first ever experience of a group tour. I m sure we will be doing both again with JLA.HS, London
All the walks are memorable for me. I also enjoyed the warm weather, friendly smiling Colombian people (contrary to the negative and scare mongering stories about Colombia I heard in UK).TU, Ilford
The Bolivian deserts and salt flats, I found a new favourite country in South America. Outstanding scenery, the night sky with a full and clear sight of the Milky Way, several planets and a myriad of stars, friendly people and an area which I had little prior knowledge of.BD, Hartlepool
Overall an absolutely fantastic holiday. Arranged at last minute, there is no way that we would have been able to organise something like this on our own. Everything ran smoothly, the group leader was extremely helpful and the group got on very well together, in spite of a large age range. Thanks very much!RB, Kettering
It was an amazing holiday with so many wonderful experiences and stunning scenery. Possibly in the months ahead the images that will stand our are: the Perito Mereno Glacier, Torres del Paine, the Fitzroy Mountain shining in the morning sunlight, the trip on the Beagle Channel and the Iguazu Falls. We were blessed with unusually fine weather which made the trip even more memorable. No wind in Patagonia, and calm waters in the Beagle Channel!JH, Radstock
I had an absolutely wonderful holiday and saw things I had been longing to for a long time. Thank you.CK, Clacton-on-Sea
