OUR GUIDE TO the weather in the Torres del Paine National Park
Though you can visit the spiralling towers and serrated massifs of Torres del Paine National Park at any time of year, weather conditions vary greatly between the seasons. For the warmest temperatures and the best chances of bright, clear skies, visit between December - February. Bear in mind this is the peak summer season with the most visitors, although in the vast wilderness of Patagonia you are hardly short of space. During the autumn months (March - May) you’ll behold the landscape transform into a haze of deep crimson and bronze foliage, while spring offers the wonders of blooming wildflowers across the meadows and mountainsides. Fewer visitors means you’ll spy more of Patagonia’s graceful wildlife, including guanacos, condors and perhaps even the elusive puma. During winter, temperatures grow cold, rainfall is heavier and snow storms batter the frozen landscapes.
