OUR GUIDE TO the weather in the Santiago and the vineyards
Situated in the heart of the country, Santiago and the surrounding fertile vineyards can be enjoyed at any time of year, though the fluctuating weather conditions of the region may affect which time suits you best. December - February are the hottest summer months, when the capital empties out a little. You’ll enjoy glorious sunny days and experience the Santiago a Mil theatre and performing arts festival in January. For traditional music, grape stomping and wine tasting, don’t miss the Vendimias harvest festivals from February - May in the vineyards. Winter sports enthusiasts would do well to visit in June - August, to catch the ski season in Valle Nevado and whizz down the dazzling snowy mountain ranges of the Andes.
