Dreams Patagonia is a modern hotel with contemporary guest rooms, restaurant, Sky Bar and casino in the centre of Coyhaique, Patagonia.
Coyhaique is the capital of the scantily populated Aisen region in Chilean Patagonia. It's a pleasant, planned town which is a good base for visits to the glaciers, forests and waterfalls of this remote region.
Hotel Dreams is probably the best hotel in town, situated in a convenient spot close to the centre. It’s a modern hotel where the guest rooms are furnished in a contemporary style but feature décor with the browns and greys of the Patagonian stone and timber used in traditional buildings in the area. There’s a cosy, rustic-style restaurant serving some dishes typical of Patagonia while the Sky Bar on an upper floor offers views and a Sushi menu.
The hotel has a fitness centre with sauna and pool, and a weak Wifi signal. Coyhaique is an isolated region where the population has to make its own entertainment, so there is a casino on site and regular light entertainment including gigs and discos.
What our clients say
97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.
Highlight?: Touring Easter Island, it was a unique experience, one that is very different to many resort islands that one can visit worldwide.DM, Newcastle upon tyne
Overall we have had two of the most memorable weeks in one of the world’s most varied geographical environments and the friendly Chilean people. Thank you JLA.SJ, Welwyn
Our experience at Patagonia Camp was the most memorable part of the trip. Everyone at the camp really cared for the place and the experience they were providing for their clients, from the restaurant staff to the reception staff to the guides. They were all delightful to deal with and the guides in particular deserve special mention for their knowledge and commitment to the preservation of the TdP National Park and the ethos of the camp.RE, Knutsford
The visit was basically divided into three separate parts - self driving on the Carretera Austral, the ferry cruise which I arranged separately, and the visit to Tierra Patagonia. In their very different ways, all were excellent and memorable.TAK, Ilkley
Most memorable experiences: The Atacama Desert. An impressive place with friendly people. The Ahlarkapin Observatory trip was outstanding and a real highlight.PM, Redditch
We really enjoyed Easter Island but the Atacama was the most memorable part!ME, Caernarfon
Time in the Atacama - with Oscar!! Probably one of the most spectacular places we've visited as tourists and we have years of world travel experience behind us.RB, London
Highlight?: Patagonia campMM, Southsea
Most memorable experience: "Sailing across the Magelllan Straits and getting off on Cape Horn. This was the key reason for my trip which was motivated by a dim and distant history lesson when I was 12 years old. To think that these treacherous waters were navigated and discovered by sailors in wooden boats over 500 years ago has always been a magical thought. Doing it in the comfort of 21st century luxury was a much better option for me but to think that I have walked in the footsteps of Magellan and later Darwin is quite something else."TEB, Grays
We have travelled a lot in our lifetime but nothing prepares you for the breadth of landscapes that you will encounter in Chile. We had three weeks there and felt we only scratched the surface.CM
Highlight: Torres Del PaineCG, Amersham
Patagonia, the scenery and wildlife, getting up close to a glacier, Easter Island fulfilling a childhood dream and much more, the perfect volcano, Osorno, the geology and flamingoes of the Atacama. Santiago and Buenos Aires both quite different but equally fascinating.EL, London
Highlights: Visiting Patagonia and staying at the Patagonia campFT, Mansfield
Highlights?: Too many to mention ! Great mix of culture, sights and experiences. Love the inclusion of a horse ride from The Singular in Patagonia.HJ,
Highlight?: Trips into parts of the Atacma Desert that were not in fact desert but little islands of habitation frequented by only a few.RP, Glasgow
Chile was AMAZING!!! We loved the country, the scenery and all the people we met. Glad we had warm clothes for the trip or we would have come unstuck in Atacama, especially when going to the geysers as it was minus ten degrees. As we approached the cruise time we wondered if we'd cope with the Zodiacs, but everyone was so helpful and safety conscious. The all-time highlight of so many on our holiday was, standing in silence at the Pia Glacier.RW, Cyprus
We have wanted to visit Chile for a very long time. You arranged a very special holiday for us, which gave us a wonderful taste of this amazing country.PCA, Riding Mill
We loved all of southern Patagonia but four days at the Explora was undoubtedly the highlight.NM, London
Most Memorable Moment: "Too many to mention!Perhaps Champions parade in Rio - front row seats - fabulous! May be Torres del Paine - fabulous hotel Tierra Patagonia- outstanding scenery. Memorable moment -perhaps driving around Lake Llanquihue gradually seeing the mist clear to beautiful clear blue skies and lake and seeing The Osorno Volcano appear with low cloud drifting across its centre just as we across a very pretty lakeside café with no one there and being able to sit in the warm sunshine quite alone and enjoy the most spectacular view."JM, Wantage
Highlights: Valparaiso was stunning and Vina Santa Cruz a pleasant, relaxing surprise.MS, Shaftesbury
Highlight: The Atacama DesertBL, Tunbridge wells
Patagonia- exceeded very high expectations. JLA were great.AH, Northampton
Numerous memories but seeing a puma emerge from bushes 10 paces or fewer away from us when returning from Mirador las Torres. It totally ignored us but gave us some shaky photos.EG, Hereford
Chile is a very safe, friendly and beautiful country.CP, Budleigh Salterton
The whole experience of Atacama and Torres del Paine was amazing. In between Puerto Varas provided a welcome and relaxing contrast. The introductory tours of Santiago and Valparaiso worked very well and the guides were great... but experience tame compared to the other three destinations! Matetic was a fun last day/night.KH, London
Patagonia for its stark beauty, stunning snow covered mountains and tranquility.SB, Solihull
The picnic by Lake Pehoe provided by The Singular was exceptional- totally exceeded our expectations.YLS,
We have travelled a lot in our lifetime but nothing prepares you for the breadth of landscapes that you will encounter in Chile. We had three weeks there and felt we only scratched the surface.CM, Trowbridge
Most Memorable Moment?: Rapa Nui - a unique environment with lots of architectural and historical interest and also comtemporary culture (Tapati festival). Very interesting.AB, Burnham-On-Crouch
Highlights?: Afternoon trek in the Moon Valley Atacama to see the sunset. It was magical. Patagonian 12K trek to Grey Glacier and boat trip to face of glacier. Rapa Nui to see the Moai at the quarry and Tongariki.GB, Lytham st. annes
