Villa Amazonia
Villa Amazonia is a contemporary mid-range hotel with colonial features and a good range of facilities in the centre of Manaus in the Brazilian Amazon.
Just a stone's throw from Manaus' downtown Opera House is Villa Amazonia, a converted colonial home and something of a haven in the city. Its grandiose entrance, complete with an ornate, lemon-tinted façade leads into a reception area combining exposed original stone walls and a wood-panelled ceiling. This, along with the friendly service and collection of decorative antiques, cultivates a warm, homely atmosphere throughout. Other standout features include an outdoor swimming pool and private garden, over which most rooms have a view.
Guest rooms continue the blend of modern and traditional, with marbled bathrooms and 'rain-showers' complementing the classic style of the furnishings. The in-house restaurant offers a tropical take on many familiar classics.
