Small, relaxed and unpretentious hotel with idyllic views over the bay and plenty of relaxing outdoor areas.

Pousada Abracadabra a small, relaxed and unpretentious hotel is on a hillside, a 10-minute stroll away from the lively main street of Rua das Pedras in the trendy little resort of Búzios. It's a steep walk along the cobblestones to reach the entrance, where an idyllic scene unfurls along the cliff edge. There's a beautiful decked swimming pool beside a Polynesian-style bar and breakfast room, all overlooking the golden sweep of the bay.

Recently purchased by the owners of Casas Brancas, Abracadabra is not quite as chic as its sister property but the style is similar, with rooms housed in small white cottages. Guests are welcome at the excellent restaurant at Casas Brancas.

There are just 16 bright and airy rooms, located either in the main building or in the cottages spread amongst tropical gardens. Guestrooms are simply decorated with dark wooden furniture and white walls, and have a relaxed, breezy feel. All are equipped with air-con and a spacious tiled bathroom, and most also have a balcony with a hammock.
