Thank you for a wonderful trip! We will return to South America in the future and JLA will be our first choice.GW, Rickmansworth
Though I've travelled a fair bit in Central and South America, this was a very different experience and so was memorable throughout for that difference. Other trips have focused on Mayan and Incan civilisations, on Spanish Colonial cities and towns and this trip was much more about the scenery and wildlife. The cities were vibrant and very European in feel without much evidence of colonialism. The skies were huge, the scenery spectacular, and the wildlife a joy.CG, Hexham
Amazing trip, fab group, experienced guide and definitely value for money. Would highly recommend.AB, London
So many things - wonderful birds, Leon was very interesting, Copan was fascinating. This is our 4th trip with JLA and we have never been disappointed.LP, Honiton
Everything was memorable, a part of the world we've wanted to travel to for a long time. Views of Torres del Paine from the flight between Santiago and Punta Arenas were unexpectedly fantastic as the weather was so good and the tour leader had managed to get us all seats of the right side of the plane so we could enjoy them. Simply travelling over these vast expanses of land was amazing.DD, St Albans
A fantastic trip that includes highlight after highlight - from natural beauty to historical ruins. Lots of travelling but always jaw dropping views through the window. Highlights of the trip were Uyuni Salt Flats, Atacama Desert and Lagunas (flamingos so close you could touch them) and a return to Machu Pichu after 25 years. Our extension to Easter Island was a fantastic experience.DN, Peterborough
Dreams are true while they last, and do we not live in dreams? (Tennyson). I had long dreamt of travelling to South America, so I booked and went, and my dreams came true. The dreams were wondrous while they lasted and although now inevitably they start to fade, into their place comes a welter of brilliant, enduring, magical memories. And so the theme of this letter is thank you JLA!PM, Hampstead
Seeing South America (Chile and Argentina) with JLA was great....a fun group and it was a wonderful way to see the best sights in some astonishing places. The people we met were great, food was excellent and some of the views!PR, Cardiff
For me, the Uros Reed Islands. I loved it. The Islands, the boat trip, the people. Incredible. Loved seeing the condors. Loved Cusco and Areequipa. Loved the cable cars. Loved Lake Titicaca. Loved the Sacred Valley. Loved Ollantaytambo.CS, Winscombe
Most memorable experience? - It was the feeling that it had been planned by people at JLA who love the continent and want their customers to enjoy it too. There was great selection, variation and pacing. Above all, the quality of the experience was exceptional - from our consultant right from the outset through to tour leader and a host of local guides, drivers and hotels. A 101 organisational arrangements went like clockwork and the highest levels of professionalism and quality were always evident. So THANK YOU, JLA for our best holiday anywhere, anytime - WE WILL BE BACK !!!RH, Havant
Hotels - Quirky mix of old and modern, loved the contrast. Seaman Journey Galapagos boat was superb, cabin larger than expected. Crew and guide outstanding.LO, Ascot
There were many highlights: Machu Picchu of course, also the Uyuni salt flats was unworldly, unique. La Paz, crazy city. Lake Titicaca beautiful. Great food almost everywhere. Stunning landscapes.MC, Ely
The whole holiday was full of memorable moments. I loved walking around quirky Valparaiso with it's colourful houses and graffiti, the scenery in the Atacama, seeing the Milky Way there at night, the Tatio Geysers at sunrise, seeing Orsono emerge from the clouds in Puerto Varas, Torres del Paine Massif and the changing sky and clouds there. Watching Chilean Gauchos seen close up herding sheep on the road back to Punta Arenas. Realising you are looking at the Magellan Straits with views of Tierra del Fuego in the background when you'd learnt about it in 'O' level geography 50 years ago and were finally there! The wonderful Andean Lakes Crossing from Puerto Varas to Bariloche and the gift of perfect weather during the crossing with cloudless skies and sunshine all the way. The views at Bariloche and walking around Buenos Aires, the Casa Rosada and Eva Peron's burial place and just the street life in general. And also the lovely, hospitable, polite, friendly Chilean locals, always ready to help. Just a brilliant holiday.SLH, Poulton-le-Fylde
On our fifth trip with JLA we have always found the organisation to be excellent and reliable. Its good to have knowledgeable tour leaders and to stay in individual style hotels where appropriate.CS, Lymington
I would recommend this trip to anyone who has an interest in magnificent scenery and wonderful wildlife experiences.CT, Antrim
"Cuba exceeded my expectations : it is beautiful architecturally and naturally, fascinating historically, politically and economically and so full of life. Thanks to JLA for letting me get under the skin of Cuba just a little."HF, London
Most memorable experience: “Many on this journey, however main ones include :- Both the optional visits / flights - over Angel Falls & day excursion /flight to Kaieteur Falls . Time at Rock View Lodge & seeing the Coq of the Roq in the forest on the journey to Atta Lodge. The catamaran visit to Iles du Salut. Also enjoyed the atmosphere while wandering around Paramaribo.”SN, Belper
The first view of Machu Picchu from the watchman's tower, the view from El Alto overlooking La Paz and surrounding mountains and the Iguazu Falls will remain with me always. Also very pleased with the standard of accommodation.
Overall this was the most interesting and varied holiday I have ever been on and was a superb introduction to what was, for me, a new area of the world.PM, Motherwell
Very satisfied with Journry Latin Americas service in the UK and a wonderful tour which was turned into an excellent experience by our tour guide and driver.JE, Southwell
The variety of places that we visited. I enjoyed every place we visited. Food was good. Colourful towns. Friendly people. Beautiful scenery.JLK, Kenley
Journey Latin America provided us with what we wanted and it seemed to be a sentiment shared by the group as several of us had looked at other organisations and had found them unsatisfactory.EU, London
The tour leader could not have been more courteous, he did more than was expected of him and found us some very good restaurants. Our most memorable moments were staying in the yurt in the Patagonia, eating at local restaurants recommended by the tour leader and travelling from Bariloche across the lakes. We loved this trip and it was organised very well.MG, Marlow
It was a fantastic trip. There is an obvious division in Cuba between those who come into contact with tourists and those who don't and so, like a magnet around iron filings our very presence distorts and changes what we see. This is perhaps more the case in Cuba than elsewhere but as more people visit I hope this will reduce. It is, for the moment, part of the character of the country and part of the experience. I really can't fault the organisation of the trip and would just like to say again that our guide was fantastic at bringing the history and culture of Cuba alive for everyone.RN, London
Reaching the summit of Machu Picchu Mountain and seeing views that will live with me for the rest of my life ... wow! This was a very special moment.PB, Wareham
Highlights? Friends have asked us this and we struggle because there were so many! The magic of Easter Island and we had to keep reminding ourselves that we were actually there and seeing sights which had excited and intrigued us for a long time. El Tatio geysers at dawn were stunning. The Perito Moreno Glacier on a beautiful sunny day was awesome. The 'reveal' moment at the end of the 4wd tour at Estancia Cristina seeing the panoramic view of the Upsala Glacier.LW, Chesterfield
A really interesting, varied and contrasting tour encapsulating the spirit and culture of the region. Excellent value and made even more enjoyable by a fantastic tour guide.RG, Bishopton
JLA already has a good reputation and we were certainly impressed by the management of this tour.AF, Altrincham
I found the trip most enjoyable and very thoughtfully arranged to maximise our experience - I have no complaints at all about the trip and found it extremely enjoyable. Our Guide was excellent - very friendly and informative and looked after us all very well. Overall an extremely enjoyable holiday.CW, Newcastle
The tour was obviously well organised and structured, but it never felt rigid, there was the flexibilty to do your own thing if you wanted to, and enough 'free' time to go off and explore, or just sit and enjoy a coffee. The optional trips were varied and reasonably priced, and refreshingly there was no hard sell or pressure to join these trips. A truly wonderful journey.MD, Stafford
A wonderful, memorable trip - so happy we chose JLA and the Condor tour - thanks to all the team, and to the tour leader especially. The itinerary was really well thought out and the Bolivia part was an unexpected bonus! This was my first ever visit to Latin America, and our first ever experience of a group tour. I m sure we will be doing both again with JLA.HS, London
