Los Tajibos Hotel and Convention Center
Upmarket resort-style hotel with many facilities in tropical gardens in a quiet neighbourhood in Santa Cruz.
Los Tajibos is the smartest hotel in Santa Cruz and well described as a resort. Independent and Bolivian-owned, it is situated in tropical gardens with a huge freeform pool. We reckon that this, one of the first and still by far the most luxurious of the conference-facilities type hotels, is a good choice for anyone seeking fully comprehensive facilities. It’s a taxi-ride from the central plaza – too far to walk, but taxis are cheap and the hotel can easily arrange transport.
There are 208 guest-rooms over 3 storeys, with an art gallery on the ground floor. Some rooms on the upper have a balcony with a pool view, others are pool-side with French windows opening out on to a terrace. All rooms are spacious with cable TV and en suite bathroom. There is a smart restaurant and poolside bar. Other leisure facilities include a spa, Jacuzzi, running track, volleyball and tennis courts. In 2014 the property was partially upgraded with the addition of an Executive Club, and renovations take place on a rolling basis.
