Boutique hotel jammed with art and nostalgia in a quiet suburb of Santa Cruz.
This impressive boutique hotel is situated on a quiet street in a leafy, affluent suburb of Bolivia’s most dynamic city, Santa Cruz. It is a converted residence with just seven guest-rooms leading off a couple of colonial-style patios. The place is stuffed with original art, antiques and vintage stuff, as the owner, a Bolivian who lived in Spain and his Spanish wife, were antique collectors before becoming hoteliers. The proprietors pride themselves on always being around, and say that excellent service is their priority.
By any standards this is a beautiful property, jam packed with quirky nick-nacks with cosy rooms, stone floors, TV and air-conditioning. Two of the rooms are appropriate for families with one child. Breakfast is served, and other meals may be booked in advance (Mediterranean cuisine): there is no restaurant as such, you are served on tables scattered throughout the property, adding to the ambience of intimacy. The hotel has more of European feel than a Bolivian one; in fact most of their clients are European, it’s especially popular with diplomats.
What our clients say
97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.
The Casa Patio hotel we asked you to book for us in Santa Cruz is superb, and we cannot recommend it too highly. We were very lucky to stay there as bookings are not taken for less than two nights, which the owner said Mariana Tours had done. The dinner we had there was one of the best meals of the holiday. We were very sorry that we had less than twelve hours there.BL, Harrow
