Cassia Hill Resort is a friendly eco-style resort in Cayo District close to the Mayan Mountains providing a comfortable base for outdoor activities.

Cassia Hill Resort (formerly Windy Hills Resort) is surrounded by palms and other exotic foliage carpeting large tropical gardens. It’s close to the town of San Ignacio which is a base for rainforest tours.

There are 23 rooms and individual cabins opening on to verandas where you can relax in your hammock. The pleasant, airy guest rooms have hardwood furnishings and tiled or wooden floors, perked up with rugs and local craftwork.

There’s a restaurant with a bar, fitness room and an infinity pool fringed with sun loungers in the garden. You’ll be accompanied by the song and flight of an abundance of birds. During your stay,  you might explore the trail at the rear of the property which identifies plants with medicinal properties. Dawn and night time jungle walks can be arranged, as well as horse riding, river trips, cave tubing and visits to nearby Mayan ruins such as Xunantunich.

What our clients say

97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.

Good and rustic. Beautiful setting and nice people. So what if the air conditioning clanks and the shower is a bit temperamental. That's not the point. I loved it. Spoilt kids disagree
