The tawny steppes and jagged cliffs of the Valdés Peninsula on the Atlantic coast of northern Patagonia are home to staggeringly diverse wildlife reserves. Summer from December - February offers hot, dry weather with plentiful marine life, while the cold winter months from June - August are best for keen whale watchers. While autumn is relatively quiet for animals, springtime bursts with new life as the first fluffy penguin chicks hatch.
