El Pedral is a typical Patagonian lodge offering relaxation and activities on the wild Atlantic coast of Argentina.

Sheltered by a rare stand of trees, El Pedral sits in splendid isolation on a promontory overlooking a bay sculpted into the Atlantic coast of northern Patagonia, surrounded by a tawny fan of desolate, arid land - nevertheless with a quiet beauty for those who appreciate wilderness landscapes.  It’s a long way from anywhere, but as such a wonderful property where you can relax and switch off, as well as take part in a few outdoor adventures.

El Pedral is a family run lodge, a typical Patagonian farmhouse with hundreds of years of history reflected in portraits and antique furnishings which sit alongside modern facilities in the guest rooms, of which there are just eight.  It’s a cosy haven with its own farm, a snug library warmed by an open fire, living room and snooker room.  Outside there’s a swimming pool, bikes for exploration, self-guided trails and even a football pitch (well it is Argentina).  Stroll along the pebbly shore looking out for birds or make a guided visit to a Magellanic penguin reserve. Take a sunset stroll and then come back to a dinner of traditional Patagonian cuisine – maybe lamb roasted over a spit.

What our clients say

97% of our clients rated their experience with us as Excellent or Good.

Unbeatable

"Explora en Atacama is vvvvv good. Atacama Desert - this was the most amazing place in the world and we have travelled a lot. The hotel was excellent thinking about our needs all the time. We were concerned about the trips with a 5 year old but we should not have been. The guide David was particularly good, keeping a watchful eye on Tom all the time so we could relax and ejoy the excursions thoroughly.”
