A very comfortable hotel with a natural waterside setting with mountain views close to Ushuaia.

Tierra del Fuego is a wild, beautiful island with a largely unexplored interior set behind a curtain of icy Andean peaks. It certainly feels remote, although the port of Ushuaia is an animated place with a busy commercial centre. If you wish to stay somewhere with a remote feel reflecting the true nature of the island, you’d be well advised to stay at Hotel Los Cauquenes, which is situated on a small beach in the bay of the same name fringing the Beagle Channel.

The property has wonderful views over the water to the rugged mountains beyond from its public areas and some of the rooms and suites, so you can enjoy them from the well regarded restaurant, heated pool or outdoor Jacuzzi. Other spa and fitness facilities include a gym, massages and beauty treatments. The guest rooms have all the amenities of a superior hotel, some with a private balcony. You can sign up for additional activities such as sea lion spotting boat trips, glacier walks and cookery classes.
