Charming and attractive little guesthouse within a whitewashed colonial building, decorated with great care and attention to detail.

The most attractive little guesthouse, El Cortijo Hotel Boutique makes the most of a modest colonial building in the whitewashed mountain village of Cachi. A lot of thought and care has gone into the decoration and furnishings to create a comfortable and welcoming environment at a very reasonable price.

The restored 19th-century house has chunky white stucco walls, stone floors and a lovely courtyard with balconies, creeping plants and views towards the Nevado del Cachi. There are 11 tiny rooms (and one master suite with sun terrace) all individually decorated, many with cast iron bedsteads. There is a cosy lounge and breakfast room where guests eat at a communal table.
