Spacious and speedy Antarctic expedition vessel with a high standard of comfort and good range of facilities.

This gleaming ship is larger than many expedition cruise vessels, and her facilities and ambience are more like those of a floating hotel: there is even a spa offering massage therapies and yoga classes.

However this does not detract from the emphasis on wildlife, with each voyage accompanied by  well-informed and engaging experts: practicing scientists or researchers who will be happy to share their expertise with guests on excursions or in the spacious, tiered lecture theatre.

The cabins accommodating up to 189 guests are very comfortable with more furniture and storage space than is usual on an expedition ship of this type; types vary from single to suite and a lift connects the four decks. There’s a glass-enclosed observation lounge, outside deck for barbecues and socialising and a well-stocked library with DVDs you can play in your cabin.

The first Antarctic ship to become carbon neutral, her swift operating speed means she can cross the Drake Passage more quickly than some similar vessels. She’s equipped with lifts and has a large fleet of Zodiacs. Optional camping, kayaking, skiing and mountaineering are available on selected departures.
