Feathers were ruffled on Friday afternoon as Journey Latin America and The Galápagos Conservation Trust took to Turnham Green for a high-energy zumba class in celebration of Blue-Footed Booby Day. Donning their bright blue booby feet, the team busted some Latin moves to raise funds and awareness for the conservation of the Galapagos Islands and their blue-footed inhabitants.
Our zumba instructor Annie, of Chiswick-based studio Personal Best, led the group through a typical routine of the dance and fitness phenomenon zumba, which blends together international music and dance in an informal, fun way. Luckily for all of us, she said that there was no right or wrong way to do it – all you have to do is dance along and enjoy yourself!
To see us making boobies of ourselves, take a look at our Booby Zumba Facebook album or our video below.
