You'll love Casas Brancas, set on a bluff with dazzling vistas of the ocean. in the boutique-style resort town of Búzios. Here there's a multitude of small sandy coves, tropical islands, trendy shops and great eateries.
The delightful property is a Moorish-style boutique hotel overlooking the bay of Búzios, just a few minutes’ walk from the town itself.
The friendly pousada has spacious, individually decorated rooms in cool whites and creams with stone-flagged floors, some of which have balconies. Each has a sea or garden view. It’s a wonderful place to kick back and relax, be it by the pool, on your balcony or the outside terrace shaded by white drapes. Sip a cocktail and watch the sunset before the hotel is illuminated by candlelight – it’s all very romantic. Alternatively, spoil yourself with a massage or facial in the sumptuous spa.
The hotel is closer to the sea than some of the others in the vicinity, you have a real feeling of being close to the waves. There is a spa, small pool, a fine restaurant and a sun terrace with breath-taking bay views. Service is exceptional. The nearest beach is a 10 minute stroll away. Be prepared for a steep 5-minute walk from town.
Take a catamaran trip into the bay to explore some of the small tropical islands and secluded coves that dot the coastline. There are plenty of opportunities cool off for a swim, snorkel or work on your tan.
Búzios, a 2-3 hour drive from Rio de Janeiro, boasts an array of small sandy coves, beaches and deserted tropical islands. The town has some excellent restaurants and lively bars to while away the evenings. The area has many stunning tropical islands and coves. All the beaches are accessible on foot or a short journey by beach buggy, which can be hired locally.
Our Comment
Perfect for romantic couples, combining respect for privacy with meticulous service. The Mediterranean-Brazilian fusion cuisine is exquisite.
