The celebrated wine-producing region around Mendoza lies on the flanks of the Andes and is the perfect place to enjoy fine vintages and a superb gastronomic experience.
This beautiful lodge and small vineyard is situated 30km from the city. The main house, remains faithful to Spanish colonial traditions. Sunlight floods into the cavernous sitting room and lobby with grand piano. Each of the 14 adobe-walled individual apartments opens on to its own Andes-facing patio with a plunge pool and outdoor shower and views to the snow-capped peaks of the Cordon de Plata. Sitting rooms are equipped with flat-screen TV, CD/DVD player, Wi-Fi, and large stone clad bathrooms have twin basins and stand alone bath with separate shower. Décor is in keeping with the apartment's spacious and simple architectural style; charcoal marbled floors, cool cream walls and subtle lighting. The cellar is stacked with dozens of Argentina's most notable labels and the kitchen uses locally produced olive oils, herbs and spices. Along with the outdoor sports facilities there's a small spa offering wine therapy treatments. Horse-riding and trips to other wineries can be organised.
You are able to venture further afield, however: indulge your taste buds dining at a choice of local wineries and restaurants.
Eating and wine-drinking here are an unashamed luxury, complemented by a handy spa and small gym David Nichols, Product Manager
