In the cobbled streets of the district of San Telmo - the home of the tango - this 100-year old former mansion, housing Hotel Mansion Dandi, recreates the aura of 1920s Buenos Aires, focusing on this nostalgic and sensual dance.
Within its unassuming facade (there is no hotel sign) are 31 quaint, high-ceilinged guest rooms which are quaint and charming, many of them adorned with murals or retaining their original features.
There is also a lobby lounge, gym and pleasant rooftop terrace with hot tub and small pool.
Tango School
There is a tango school where renowned dancers offer lessons, and a typical ballroom with the original old wooden floor. Group lessons are held daily for a nominal cost (not necessary to prebook) or private lessons (pre-book in advance).
Performances are held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 10pm to 3am. Breakfast can be taken in the dining room or on the ground floor patio.
The tango theme continues in its 31 guestrooms with even tango channels on the cable TV.
Our Comment
The hotel offers a unique experience for clients who are
seeking an authentic Argentinean atmosphere in Buenos Aires. Th ambience of the hotel is charming, if you like that kind of quirkiness.
