Buenos Aires: NH City and Tower
The NH City is a mid-range hotel with a perfect location in central Buenos Aires, close to the buzzing financial and shopping district around the Avenida 9 de Julio, the colonial centre and the restored docklands at upmarket Puerto Madero with its promenades, restored port features, yachts and restaurants.

It’s in an art deco building but once inside you are in a businesslike, functional almost minimalist environment. It’s quite large, with 369 guest rooms: the deluxe rooms are situated in the tower opposite the main building which houses the standard rooms. These are compact with plain furnishings and fabrics in neutral colours, all have cable TV, minibar and private bathroom.

Facilities include a restaurant and café bar, and on the rooftop (open Dec-Mar) a small pool, sauna and gym.

Our Comment

This hotel is popular among our clients. It gives itself 5 stars but we assess it as  good medium range  accommodation, fine as a base for exploring the city as it is close to all the action, but as such wouldn’t suits anyone looking for an oasis of tranquillity in a quiet district.
