But there are several local Indian villages to visit including Sololá with its colourful Tuesday and Friday local market. There are other markets in the highlands, the most popular being the Thursday and Sunday markets at Chichicastenango, an hour's drive away. The hotel can arrange motorlaunch excursions on the lake to other waterside villages.

A really romantic setting for couples and honeymooners. We liked the little extras, flowers, chocolates etc and honeymooners may get something special. Service is imeccable.
