Pacific Coast : Hotel Punta Islita

Punta Islita is a charming and remote hideaway dramatically set on a hilltop surrounded by lush tropical scenery and overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It is a small and intimate resort of just 30 palm thatched rooms, each boasting spectacular views over the ocean from a private terrace. Some rooms also have a private outdoor Jacuzzi or plunge pool.

Simply unwind on Punta Islita's secluded beach or beside the pool. Alternatively, for the more energetic there are various activities in the surrounding rainforest. A candlelit dinner at the excellent open-air restaurant or a private table prepared on the beach provides a romantic finale to a day at Punta Islita.

There is a secluded small crescent- shaped beach, and a bar with staff on hand to serve refreshments. The walk to the beach takes 10 minutes, or you can take advantage of the resort's shuttle service.

There is an array of activities including horseriding, mountain-biking, trekking and off-roading in all terrain vehicles in the surrounding forest. Sport fishing is excellent, and there are various offshore and deep-sea excursions available. Complimentary bicycles are available to guests.

Our Comment

The infinity pool has amazing views, and the spa is the best I have ever experienced. Try the chocolate massage!
