Introduction

AmazonDiscovery Journeys

Our 'Discovery Journeys' group holidays aim to get under the skin of Latin American culture and take you close up to the continent’s most dramatic landscapes.

We travel along occasionally bumpy – but always fascinating – back-roads, and stay, where feasible, in small family-run hotels and guesthouses.

With an emphasis on building an experience which is adventurous in spirit, we seek out new trails, local fiestas, indigenous markets, and quirky restaurants with which to expand your horizons.

Where possible, your resources are fed back into the local community.

Routes: Itineraries from Mexico to Patagonia, designed according to our own in-depth research and experience. See our Discovery Journeys page for more.

Accommodation: Simple and medium-class hotels with ensuite facilities.  In areas of very basic infrastructure accommodation may differ and this is specified on the individual tour pages.

Group size: Minimum 4, maximum 16.

Prices: Include international return flights from the UK. If our allocated flights are not available or you wish to travel from a regional airport or on a different airline supplements may apply.

Single supplement: Not applicable if single travellers are willing to share a room with another traveller of the same sex.

Led by experts:  Discovery Journeys are accompanied throughout by our own Journey Latin America tour leader, in conjunction with local guides.

Group profile: Varied: singles, couples, friends, families.
