Machu Picchu was definitely a highlight! All the towns were impressive and were safe to explore. For my son after all the culture (including 'Horrible Histories') and wild life (particularly feeding baby alpaca) the Chocolate Museum was a refreshing change of pace and really good fun too - not to mention a truly tasty experience"

Highlights: "Our trip provided many enjoyable moments. My personal favourite was being able to hold a baby sloth rescued by the guides at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. It had been dropped by its mother. The baby was so soft and utterly cute. We also spent a night in the Canopy Tree House which was great fun. Inti Raymi was in full swing in Cusco and we were entranced by the kindergarten tinies dancing round the Plaza des Armes. How they survived an hour in the hot sun I don't know but maybe the promise of an ice cream at the end kept them going"

The scenery was breathtaking - and as lovers of mountains and volcanoes, we were truly in our element. And the Inca legacy was every bit as exciting as we had anticipated. Peru surprised us. The quality of the food was excellent and overall it delivered a first rate trip as we celebrated our silver wedding anniversary"
