Journey Latin America is a member of AITO, the Association of Independent Tour Operators.  AITO was the first tourism industry association to incorporate a commitment to Sustainable Travel and green tourism into its business charter. Journey Latin America has achieved 5 ST stars by AITO, the maximum recognition for commitment to offering responsible holidays and business practices.

Journey Latin America is an associate member of the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO).  IAATO ensures safe and environmentally sound tourism in Antarctica and in accordance with IATTO compliances, Journey Latin America only offer holidays to Antarctica with companies who are IAATO members.

In 2009 Journey Latin America formed a working relationship with The Travel Foundation, an established charity offering guidance and support to the tourism industry in responsible tourism issues.  With the support and knowledge of The Travel Foundation we will continue to further communication and better practice amongst ourselves, our clients and our suppliers.

Based in Chiswick, West London, Journey Latin America belongs to the London Borough of Hounslow.  Always keen to reduce our carbon footprint, we are at the forefront of local businesses pushing for optimal recycling and waste management and are involved in pilot projects to establish efficient programmes for waste disposal with Hounslow Council.
