Amazon Eco-Lodge is 115km by road and canoe from Manaus, a journey of  5 hours crossing the River Amazon, passing through the Meeting of the Waters - the muddy brown Rio Solimões and treacle- black Rio Negro - then by all-terrain vehicle and finally canoe to the accommodation.

There are 16 rooms in the floating jungle lodge, with shared cold-water facilities and limited electricity. Excellent meals are served communally.

In addition to the guided walks which are organised from the lodge, you can visit local settlers and view their traditional cultivation techniques.

There are also  dugout canoe excursions to fish for piranha and other exotic species. and Individual paddling canoes are at your disposal.

Transfers leave daily from Manaus.
