Corcovado Tent Camp, Osa Peninsula

A short flight from Costa Rica's capital is followed by a 45 minute walk to the camp through stunning Corcovado National Park. This vast area of protected wilderness has terrain varying from marsh and mangrove swamp to low unsullied rainforest and sandy coastline.

The lodge has a canopy platform over 30m from the ground providing the ideal vantage point from which to survey the abundance of wildlife.

Forest inhabitants include jaguars, tapirs, ocelots and peccaries. The activities on offer include walks through the rainforest on some of the Parks' many nature trails. Horse riding is available but not included in the cost.

The Tent Camp consists of 20 comfortable wall tents pitched on raised wooden platforms, set on a grass clearing looking over the rolling Pacific. Each tent has two single beds.

There are also two bath houses with cool water showers - very refreshing in the hot and humid climate.
